Description |
Wooden carving/sculpture based on a variation of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian's logo (drawn by Diana Hudgens) that was used on Museum stationary and advertising. Virgil Ledford, a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, was commissioned by Ken Blankenship (EBCI), who was the director of the Museum of the Cherokee Indian at that time, to carve this sculpture. The sculpture was purchased by the Museum of the Cherokee Indian from Ledford (EBCI) in July 1993. |
