Photocopy of a testimonial on behalf of Cherokees living in Haywood and Macon Counties stating that they have received no annuities; have been subject to laws of North Carolina; have conducted themselves as "peaceable Citizens;" have made progress in the "Business of farming;" and are "more temperate than the same number of whites in any part of the state."
